Meteorologists are predicting another active hurricane season in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, there are things you can do as a homeowner to prepare for hurricane season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 style=\"margin-bottom:0px;\">Maximize Your Policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:0px;\">These coverages already come with your home policy, but you may want to increase your limits to better prepare for hurricane season:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Replacement cost contents<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 If you ever need to replace the belongings in your home, this coverage will pay to replace them at today\u2019s prices\u2014not their depreciated value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mold coverage<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 We\u2019ll pay up to $10,000 to repair damage to your home or property caused by fungi, wet or dry rot, or bacteria. You can also increase the limit if you want.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin:15px 0px 0px;\">For even greater hurricane preparation, consider these optional coverages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Neptune Flood coverage<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouthrock.com\/insurance\/flood\">Adding this coverage<\/a>&nbsp;to your home insurance policy will protect your home and its contents from damage caused by rising water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Water backup<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 If your sump pump fails, or if water backs up through a sewer or drain, you\u2019ll be covered for any damage to your home or personal property.
